EHS student, Grant Johnson, is a triathlete being recognized on a national level for his capabilities within his sport. He has only been competing for four years and has qualified three times for his age group national championship. Recently he traveled to Omaha, Nebraska, where he raced an Olympic distance triathlon against 59 other athletes with the top 18 being those who qualify for team USA and the World Championships. Grant finished 14th with a time of 2 hours, 29 minutes, and 23 seconds. This time has let him qualify for team USA and he will be racing at the World Championships in Australia in September of 2018. Between now and September, 2018, Grant has set a personal goal to drop 5 minutes to be a top ten finishers. Congratulations Grant!
