Erie Fans:

Erie High School is very pleased to announce the hiring of Jeff Vigil as our new Boys Soccer coach.  Coach Vigil was recently offered and accepted the position for the 2017-2018 school year.  We are very excited to welcome Coach Vigil and his family to the Erie High School community!

Here is a little more about Coach Vigil:

Jeff Vigil is a native of Colorado, and played club soccer for NASA Explosion and the Arvada Eagles. He played soccer and basketball at Ranum High School, and went on to play four years at San Diego Christian College while earning a degree in History/ Social Science. After college, Jeff played for the San Diego Hotspurs’ men’s premier team, and immediately began coaching. He spent 3 years as an assistant coach and two years as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at San Diego Christian College.  He also taught History and PE and coached varsity soccer at Christian High School in San Diego.

Since moving back to Colorado in 2008, Jeff coached boys’ and girls’ soccer at Standley Lake High School for five years, and boys’ soccer at Mountain Range High School this past fall. He has coached club soccer at Westminster AFC and is currently the High School Boys Director at Broomfield Soccer Club.

Jeff resides in Thornton with his wife of 13 years, Bethany, and their two children, Brooklynn (10) and Beau (6.) Family is very important to Jeff and he hopes to build a program that promotes a tightly knit family culture.
