Erie High School Fans!

It was a busy Saturday for Erie High School Athletics.  The Erie High School Girls Softball Team swept the day at the Metro State Showdown in Denver.  The Tigers outlasted 5A power Arvada West 2-1 in 9 inning in their first game.  Rio Sanchez was huge at the plate and on the mound.  Sanchez struck out 12 and had a key double in the 9th inning to set up the win.  In the afternoon session not much changed for the Tigers as they beat Wheat Ridge 2-1.  The Tiger softball team improved to 4-0 on the season with games this week @ Holy Family High School and a busy, action packed weekend at the annual Tournament of Champions hosted by your Tigers.

On the soccer field your Erie Tigers played Overland High School to a 0-0 tie after regulation and overtime periods.  With a total school enrollment of nearly 2300 students, the smaller Erie Tigers showed true grit and determination in the game.  Sophomore Dylan Brown was great in goal this afternoon securing the tie for the Tigers.  The boys soccer team is in action this upcoming week at Centaurus High School.

Great Saturday for Erie Athletics!
